  • 1/4 cup 100% apple juice
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Combine the Ingredients:

Adjust Seasonings:

  • Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity to your liking, adding more date paste if you prefer a sweeter sauce or more vinegar for extra tang.

Cool and Store:

  • Once the BBQ sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, remove from heat and let it cool. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1-2 weeks.

Notes

Coconut Aminos: This is a popular substitute for soy sauce, but if you’re not on a Whole30 program, feel free to use regular soy sauce.
❖  Sweetness Level: This Whole30 BBQ Sauce doesn’t use added sugar, but if you want a bit of natural sweetness, you can add a small amount of stevia or monk fruit.
Thickness: If you prefer a thinner BBQ sauce, you can add a small amount of water (a tablespoon at a time) until it reaches the consistency you like.
