Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth (optional)
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Pitcher or large bowl
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

  • 8 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon freshly extracted ginger juice
  • Sparkling water optional, to top off
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Place the cubed watermelon in a blender. Add the fresh lime juice and ginger juice. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and juicy.

Step 2:

  • For a smoother juice, pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher to remove pulp. This step is optional if you prefer a thicker juice.

Step 3:

  • Pour the watermelon juice into glasses. Top off with a splash of chilled sparkling water if desired, and stir gently. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately for the best taste.

Notes

Notes: Always use ripe, sweet watermelon for the best flavor. You can chill the watermelon cubes before blending to make the drink extra cold without ice. The ginger juice adds a light zing; reduce it if you want a milder flavor. Sparkling water gives a refreshing fizz, but plain water or ice can also be used.
