  • 4 oz toffee bits Heath or Skor pieces work well

Step 1: Preheat and Prepare

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Mix the Cake Batter

  • In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, pumpkin puree, softened cream cheese, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and spices like ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Beat everything together until the batter is smooth and well blended.

Step 3: Bake the Cake

  • Pour the batter evenly into your prepared baking dish. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
