Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice from about 2–3 oranges
  • 1 cup tomato ketchup check for gluten-free if needed
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Lea & Perrins is gluten-free
  • 1 stick unsalted butter or dairy-free butter alternative
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Start by squeezing about 2–3 fresh oranges until you have 1 cup of juice. Strain to remove pulp if desired. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the stick of butter (or dairy-free alternative).
  • Stir in the ketchup, orange juice, white vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Whisk well until smooth.
  • Bring the sauce to a gentle boil, and then reduce heat to low. Let it simmer uncovered for about 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to a jar or bottle.
