Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup 2 sticks salted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer (or by hand) to beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until well incorporated.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the edges but soft in the center. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
