Ladle (for serving)
- 1 bottle of non-alcoholic white wine
- 4 cups of apple cider either fresh or store-bought
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3-4 whole cloves
- 1 orange sliced
- 1 apple sliced
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger optional for extra warmth
- 1 pear sliced
- A pinch of ground nutmeg
- Extra fruit slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish
Slice the orange, apple, and pear into thin rounds. Set aside. In a large pot or saucepan, pour in the bottle of non-alcoholic white wine and apple cider.
To the pot, add the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, sliced orange, apple, and pear. If you’re using honey or maple syrup, add it here as well. Optionally, sprinkle in ground ginger for an extra warming spice.
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally to help dissolve any sweeteners. Keep it simmering for 10-15 minutes, allowing the spices and fruits to infuse the liquid.
Once the drink is hot and flavorful, remove it from the heat. Add a pinch of ground nutmeg for a final burst of flavor. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.
Ladle the drink into mugs or glasses, and garnish with extra fruit slices and a sprig of rosemary for a festive touch. Sip and enjoy this warm, comforting, non-alcoholic apple cider drink!
