Ingredients

  • 8 ounces butter softened
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chopped bittersweet chocolate chunks and shavings
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
