Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat

Instructions
 

Combine Ingredients:

  • In a medium saucepan, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, molasses, honey, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and hot sauce.

Add Spices:

  • Stir in the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).

Simmer:

  • Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved and the sauce is smooth.

Cook:

  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken to your desired consistency.

Cool and Store:

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature. Transfer it to a storage container with a lid and refrigerate. The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
