Storage jar or airtight container
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 6 tablespoons distilled white vinegar ¼ cup + 2 tbsp
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup finely minced onion
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon coarse salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Heat the vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced onions and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
