- 2 bottles 24 ounces light-colored pilsner style beer
- 2 packets 4 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup 100 g granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons dried herbs like rosemary or thyme
- 1/2 cup 100 g melted unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups 210 g shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup 140 g shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs.
Activate Yeast: In a separate bowl, combine the beer and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
Transfer to Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve: Slice and enjoy your delicious beer and cheese bread! Perfect with butter or on its own.
