Ingredients
  

  • 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk or regular milk
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in alternating batches with the sour cream and buttermilk. Mix until just combined.
  • Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips, if desired.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!

Notes

You can customize this Banana Bread Bundt recipe in many ways. If you're not a fan of nuts or chocolate chips, you can omit them entirely.
For a healthier version, consider swapping half of the butter with applesauce or using a sugar substitute. I’ve made it with both variations, and it works great!
Additionally, for those who don’t have a Bundt pan, you can easily adapt this recipe by using a standard loaf pan.
Just be mindful of the baking time—loaf pans usually take a little longer to cook through, so check at the 65-minute mark.
