Ingredients
  

  • 5 very ripe large bananas or 6-7 small bananas
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Nutella or more, based on preference

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. In a large bowl, mash the very ripe bananas using a fork or potato masher until smooth with some lumps.
  • In another bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  • Gently swirl in the Nutella into the batter. You can either fold it into the batter completely or leave some streaks for a more marbled effect.
  • Pour the banana-Nutella batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice the banana bread and enjoy this indulgent treat!
