Start by heating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While it warms up, prepare your loaf pan by greasing it with butter or a non-stick spray, then sprinkle a little flour over it to prevent sticking.
Next, take a large bowl and beat together softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. You can do this with a whisk or an electric mixer—whatever you prefer.
Once that’s smooth, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract to bring everything together.
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Give them a good whisk to make sure they’re evenly mixed.
Now, slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently just until everything is combined. Be careful not to overmix, or your bread could turn out tough.
After that, fold in the mashed bananas, diced apples, and chopped walnuts. Mix just enough to spread the fruits and nuts evenly throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top a bit. Place it in the oven and bake for about 55 to 65 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove it and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
