Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • 7-inch by 4-inch loaf pan (or similar size that fits your air fryer)
  • parchment paper,

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). This step ensures that your banana bread starts baking immediately for an even rise.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat together the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Avoid over-mixing. Fold in the chopped walnuts if using.
  • Prepare the Pan: Line your loaf pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easier. Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Air Fry the Banana Bread: Carefully place the loaf pan into the preheated air fryer basket. Cook at 320°F (160°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve: Once cooked, remove the banana bread from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
